I’m a travel expert – here’s how I found 15 bargain flights for under £50 this June
AS the cost of living soars, we’re all looking to save the pennies but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to a holiday this summer.
Whether you’re looking to explore some of Europe’s hottest cities or simply relax on a sun-soaked beach, you can still do it without breaking the bank.
We used the unique ‘everywhere’ search tool on skyscanner.net, where you can simply search for a specific date – or even month – but not a specific destination and were stunned to find dozens of flights for under £50pp RETURN.
All the flights were for June departing from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick – but there are plenty of deals to be had this month and even in August.
The best we found was a long weekend break to the Belgian capital Brussels for just £15pp return from Glasgow on June 11-14.
It has a beautiful old town square with plenty of fabulous restaurants to try their famous national dish Moules-frites – mussels served with fries.
Don’t forget the waffles and chocolate and of course there’s lots of bars to indulge in a pint or two of their famous Belgian beer.

If sun is what you are looking for then you can’t beat the Canaries. And yes there are also bargain flight to be had there too.
Try Gran Canaria, with it’s popular tourist resorts of Maspalomas, Playa Amadores and Las Palmas.
Fly there for a week’s stay from Prestwick from just £45pp return on June 12.
For a touch of the exotic you can’t beat Marrakech in Morocco. This north African gem has been pulling in the crowds for decades and it is no wonder.
The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with maze-like alleys stuffed full of souks selling traditional textiles, pottery and jewellery.
Spend three nights exploring there flying from Edinburgh for £35 return June 18-21.

Portugal is always a popular choice and you can hit the various resorts towns and villages along the Algarve coast with a flight to Faro.
Golfers love the area for the stunning courses on offer and family flock there for the safe beaches.
Spend a week exploring the area by flying from Prestwick for £40pp return on June 2.

While there weren’t as many cheap deals from Aberdeen, we still found a couple for next month – Malaga for £45pp return on June 11-18 and Faro from £36pp return June 7-11.
