As I was waiting for the Coachella 2022 lineup to drop Wednesday, our Audience Engagement Editor Abby reminded me of the fake Coachella poster she did for all things San Diego and suggested I make one.

I started thinking about all of the artists with Inland Empire and Coachella Valley ties I had interviewed in the years I logged as a local music reporter. So I put together my own IE and Coachella Valley version. Of course, as soon as I shared it on Twitter, I remembered a ton of other talented musicians I’ve interviewed over the years who needed to be on it, but I think it’s a decent representation. (Feel free to reply to the tweet to tell me who else I missed. I am already thinking of a 2.0 version.)

Not long after I tweeted my fake IE-Chella, the real Coachella 2022 lineup dropped, with the rumored Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and the artist formerly known as Kanye West atop the bill. (See the full lineup.)

But Coachella wasn’t the only festival dropping lineups this week. BeachLife in Redondo Beach and BottleRock Napa Valley did, too. Oh, and for something that’s a little more Warped Tour, Pennywise is doing a residency at the Garden Amp in March. Read on.
